An Interactive 2.5D Learning Experience
For HCP Education
-
What it is: A simplified MOD interactive for HCPs caring for patients with HoFH to understand the distinction of the ANGPTL3 story and the importance of the LDL receptor (LDLR) independent pathway
Client: Biotechnology company
Audience: HCPs (lipidologists)
Platform/Format: iPad and web
Software:
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
Blender
3DS Max
VRay
-
Learning Goals:
A high level understanding of ANGPTL3 as the “hero” for HoFH treatment
Review of the LDLR independent pathway
See that this is something novel and unique
Clarity and mastery of the subject
Why 2.5D?
3D was ideal, but budget and time constraints were a priority
Dos:
Hopeful tone
Fresh, clean, modern
Use color to lead the eye
Don’ts:
Use branding colors or red/orange
Be dramatic, not flashy or include extra details
Design for a specific setting

As the creative lead on this project, I handled everything from concept and storyboarding to UI design, 2.5D animation, and voiceover editing. I collaborated with subject matter experts, prepared all visual and audio assets for development, and worked closely with the client team, applying feedback to ensure the final product was accurate, engaging, and aligned with their vision.

This project challenged me to stay flexible and solution-oriented as I created five unique 2.5D animations while ensuring they all worked cohesively within a single interactive experience. Managing shifting stakeholder feedback throughout development required quick pivots and clear communication, especially as priorities and content direction evolved. Balancing creative consistency, scientific accuracy, and a smooth user experience under changing expectations helped sharpen my adaptability and reinforced the importance of strong collaboration and clear version control in complex, multi-phase projects.
